After a strong start to the 2015 season, which most recently included a run to the semi-finals at the PBZ Zagreb Indoors, there was more good news for Marcos as he was awarded a wild card into the main draw of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Marcos is making his sixth appearance at the ATP World Tour 500 series event in Dubai, having competed there in each of the previous three years. His best result came in 2010 when he reached the semi-finals, before falling in three tight sets to second seed Novak Djokovic.
Marcos will look to build on a great start to the season, which featured runs to the final at the Happy Valley Challenger and the third round at the Australian Open, before finishing strong in Zagreb. There, he saved a match point in denying top seed Ivo Karlovic en route to his first ATP World Tour semi-final in two years.
