In the quarter-finals of the $125,000 Tashkent Challenger, Marcos will face Andrey Kumantsov on Friday.
The Russian has not dropped a set en route to the quarter-finals, his first of the year at an ATP Challenger Tour event. The 23 year old, currently No. 376 in the South African Airways 2009 ATP Rankings, has played out the majority of the season at Futures events and has reached two finals, including at his last outing in Kazakhstan earlier this month.
Marcos will challenge Kumantsov for the first time as he bids to reach the semi-finals of an ATP Challenger Tour event for the third time this season.
