Marcos will return to grass courts next week when he plays at the Gerry Weber Open, an ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Halle where Marcos has enjoyed success in the past.
Fresh from a solid clay-court season, Marcos will open his four-week grass court campaign at the event in Germany, which begins on Monday. Marcos is seeded seventh in the 32-man main draw and will open against home hope Philipp Petzschner.
Should he advance through the first round, Marcos would face either Serbian Viktor Troicki or Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, with fourth-seeded Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero a likely quarter-final opponent. World No. 1 and five-time tournament champion Roger Federer leads the field and could face Marcos in the semi-finals.
Other star names in the draw include No. 2 seed Nikolay Davydenko, No. 3 Mikhail Youzhny, No. 6 and Roland Garros semi-finalist Jurgen Melzer and former Wimbledon champion Lleyton Hewitt.

Marcos will be making his fourth appearance in Halle and first since a quarter-final showing in 2008, when he lost to Federer. His best result came a year earlier, when he finished runner-up to Tomas Berdych in the final.
