It's always a special time of year when players hit the grass courts and Marcos will kick off his campaign this week at the Aegon Surbiton Trophy.
Marcos faces 32-year-old Dudi Sela in the first round in Surbiton, a suburb of London. He has enjoyed great success on grass in his career, posting a combined 62-38 record at Wimbledon, on the ATP World Tour and ATP Challenger Tour. He lifted his lone trophy on the surface in 2014, prevailing at the Nottingham Challenger.
Seeded second, Marcos opens his bid at the prestigious €127,000 event on Tuesday. He owns a 2-0 head-to-head edge over Sela, most recently prevailing on the grass of Newport last year. A potential second-round meeting with Aussie John Millman is in the cards. Top seed Daniel Evans leads the charge in the top half of the draw.
