As he looks to build on his success in Tashkent, Marcos will challenge third-seeded Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero in the first round of the If Stockholm Open on Wednesday.
Marcos has played former World No. 1 Ferrero twice before. The Spaniard won their first meeting in a third-set tie-break at the Estoril Open in 2005, before Marcos exacted revenge on hard court at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris two years later.
Marcos vs. Ferrero: Head-to-Head

He excelled during the grass-court season, reaching the Queen’s Club semi-finals before knocking out two top 10 players en route to the Wimbledon quarter-finals, where he lost to Andy Murray.
