Marcos and doubles partner Juan-Francisco Spina of Argentina got off to a winning start in the doubles draw at the Odlum Brown Van Open on Monday, defeating Canadian wild cards Pierre-Ludovic Duclos and Vasek Pospisil 7-6(4), 6-1.
The match gave Marcos valuable court time ahead of his first-round singles match against American wild card Devin Britton, which will be played not before 6:30 p.m. on Centre Court Tuesday evening.

World No. 1384 Britton is looking for his first match win of the season, and just the third of his professional career. The 18 year old lost in the third round of a Futures event in Ireland at the beginning of June and lost out to Rajeev Ram in the Indianapolis first round two weeks ago. Last week he lost in the first round of qualifying for the LA Tennis Open.
The winner will go on to face Indian Prakash Amritraj, who defeated Croatia’s Ivan Dodig on Monday.
Go, Marcos!
