During a solemn ceremony, which was held in Limassol Town Hall for the first time, the draw of the matches for Davis Cup was successfully completed, in the presence of the honorable Mayor of Limassol Mr. Andreas Christou, the President of the Cyprus Tennis Federation Referee of the tie, the two National Groups and representatives of the media.

In brief statements, the Captain of the Team, Yiannos Hadjigeorgiou, repeated, inter alia, that: "for our country, the goal of victory is a must. We do not know anything special about the opposing team, but as I said yesterday, these games always hide many difficulties this is why we would confront every match with a relevant severity. There is always the possibility that the decisive criterion to be the doubles match on Saturday, always of course, on tomorrow's outcome. We will fight for two wins in the singles tomorrow, but I also think we have a very strong team in the doubles, which can make the difference. I hope that all tennis fans, will be close to our team during the weekend in order to help us get the desired qualification".
