Marcos has been seeded No. 2 in next week’s Grand Prix Hassan II and as such has received a bye through the first round of the ATP World Tour 250 clay-court tournament in Casablanca, Morocco.
Marcos will open his campaign against one of two qualifiers and is seeded to meet eighth seed and 2010 runner-up Victor Hanescu in the quarter-finals. He is also in the same half of the draw as third seed Gilles Simon and fifth seed Potito Starace. Spaniard Albert Montanes is the top seed in the 28-man field.
