Marcos is training in Slovenia this week, making his final preparations for his summer campaign on the US hard courts.

Marcos’ first tournament of the Olympus US Open series will be the Citi Open, which begins on Monday, 29 July. Before he flies out to Washington D.C. on 24 July, though, Marcos and his family will celebrate the christening of baby Zahara in Croatia this Sunday.
Marcos will be making his third appearance in Washington and has always enjoyed success at the ATP World Tour 500 tournament, reaching the final in 2010 (l. to Nalbandian) and the quarter-finals in 2011 (l. to Young).
Following Washington, Marcos will compete at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments in Montreal and Cincinnati, before finalising his US Open preparations at Winston-Salem. The US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season, begins in New York on 26 August.
