Having unfortunately withdrawn from the Mutua Madrilena Masters Madrid next week, Marcos is next due to play in the Davidoff Swiss Open in Basel, beginning on 20th October.
Marcos has been in Greece this week receiving treatment on his back, which he injured in his first round clash with Ivo Karlovic at the Open de Moselle in Metz last week, but he found time to ring in and give us an update on how he's doing:
"My back is feeling much better, but I don't know yet how it will recover for Basel. I have been in Athens for treatment this week and on Sunday I'm going back to Paris for a couple of days hitting and we will see how my back is.
"It is very disappointing (after recovering from the wrist injury), but I am working hard to be healthy for next year.
"I'm playing very well and working hard physically. Peter (Lundgren - coach) and I haven't had a lot of time, but we are working very well and it's good. I am feeling good on the court and hope to be back playing soon."
Stay tuned for more updates on Marcos' progress!
