Marcos beat Feliciano Lopez for the second time this week to help Pune secure a 26-20 victory over the Bangalore Raptors.
The pair had contested a close tie-break in Friday’s match, but in the final set of the day on Thursday, Marcos cruised past Lopez 6-2. Marcos and Agnieszka Radwanska had earlier joined forces for victory in the mixed doubles against Lopez and Venus Williams.
Pune now has a strong chance of reaching the final of the Champions Tennis League and will face Hyderabad on Monday. Marcos is set to play mixed doubles, men’s doubles and singles against Mikhail Youzhny.
