Inaugural Geneva Tournament Welcomes Marcos

Saturday, 16 May, 2015

Marcos will be a part of ATP World Tour history next week, playing in the inaugural Geneva Open. He competes in his first tournament since the BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy in Bucharest a month ago.

Marcos will look to build on a 8-6 tour-level record in 2015 when he opens against Brazil's Thomaz Bellucci in the first round. He leads the head-to-head series 2-1, having squared off in the U.S. in all three previous meetings. Bellucci won the most recent encounter at the 2012 Winston-Salem Open.

Marcos has enjoyed success in Geneva in recent years, having won the title at the ATP Challenger Tour event there last November. He will look to build momentum heading into the second Grand Slam of the year at Roland Garros.
